Walking versus Running versus Lifting Weights

I just got back from an early morning outing which consists of walking, running and bodyweight exercises.

I've found this combination to be more beneficial to me for many reasons. This combination workout is able to target fat burning as well as building strength.

Plus it's a workout that is great for us that live in Southern California and the Inland Empire, solely because of our totally rad weather that we have here.

You can start off with a brisk walk, move into a slow jog and even sprint if you want to.

Then when you get to objects on your way like signs with posts, you can do pull ups and tricep extensions.

You can even do handstand push ups against a wall or tree. And add in squats, push ups or crabwalks.

This workout allows you to get a cardio and resistance training all rolled into one session, which saves you valuable time too.

So take your exercise outdoors and forget about the commute to the gym!
